It’s a 30 year celebration as Segerstrom Center and Ferris Bueller both made their debut in 1986! This American comedy from John Hughes follows a high school senior, Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick), who skips school with his girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) and best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck) on a one-day journey through the streets of Chicago.
Segerstrom Center’s FREE Movie Mondays returns for its tenth season on the Arts Plaza. Movie-goers can look forward to casual evenings full of fun-filled activities, picnic dinners or specialties from popular food trucks and watching five fan-favorite films on consecutive Mondays.
Families and fans from all over arrive early for Movie Mondays, claiming their space on the Center’s 46,000-square-foot Arts Plaza, enjoying early dinners, music and people watching. Since the
movies are projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall, everyone has a great seat. Set-up begins at 5:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk (approximately 8 p.m.). Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs
or other easily portable seating items, snacks and picnic suppers. Each Monday will also feature different food trucks serving culinary sensations throughout each screening. Barbecues and similar food
preparation are not permitted. Prior to the show (starting around 7:30 p.m.) there are audience participation events.
