Cathedral Echoes
Pacific Chorale's successful Cathedral Echoes concerts continue with this musical visit to the cathedrals of France. Pacific Chorale will be performing this concert in Paris in July of 2012 at the famed L'Eglise Saint Sulpice, home of French organists and composers Charles Marie Widor, Marcel Dupré and current Saint Sulpice organist Daniel Roth. Concert repertoire includes works by Widor, Dupré, Roth, Langlais, Poulenc, Messiaen and Boulanger, and will feature Widor's “Mass for Two Choirs and Two Organ.†The Chorale will be joined by guest organist Thierry Escaich, organist at St. Etienne du Mont in Paris and master of the art of organ improvisation. Monsieur Escaich will perform Widor's organ solo fromSymphony No. 5 as well as organ improvisations on the theme of Olivier Messiaen's “O Sacrum
