Costa Mesa Bark Park

890 Arlington Drive, Costa Mesa, CA, 92626

The Costa Mesa Bark Park is a 2-acre fenced park where dogs can legally play and run leash-free. It is the only area in Costa Mesa where dogs are not required by ordinance to be on a leash and its popularity continues to increase. During any two-hour period in the summer months, 50-200 dog owners and their dogs utilize Costa Mesa Bark Park. The park is located on the corner of Arlington Avenue and Newport Boulevard in TeWinkle Park, across the street from the Orange County Fairgrounds Equestrian Center.

The park is administered by the Costa Mesa Bark Park Foundation, a California incorporated, non-profit organization that is completely dependent financially on donations and comprised entirely of volunteers. Facilities include a double-gated entrance, parking, benches, trees, water dispensers for the dogs, dog waste bags and a restroom. The park also contains a separate area for small, elderly and disabled dogs.
