Pacific Symphony

Pacific Symphony is Orange County’s orchestra. Dynamic community support has helped the Symphony evolve into the third largest symphony in California. Led by Artistic & Music Director Alexander Shelley, Pacific Symphony is recognized internationally as an outstanding orchestra, presenting more than 100 concerts a year, plus a rich array of educational and community programs. Pacific Symphony offers a perfect night out for every musical taste. Programs at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall include great classical masterworks, pops concerts featuring big names in entertainment, chamber music, Saturday morning concerts for children and parents, multicultural events for Lunar New Year and Nowruz, and a holiday performance of Handel’s Messiah. Founded in 1978, Pacific Symphony is the largest orchestra formed in the United States in the last 50 years.

Pacific Symphony offers a variety of programs designed to integrate the Symphony and its music into the Orange County community. Education programs include Class Act, an elementary school program, Arts-X-press, a summer arts immersion program for middle schoolers, and Heartstrings, which provides free tickets to the Symphony and customized programs in partnership with local schools, nonprofits, and social service agencies. Pacific Symphony also nurtures the next generation of musicians through its renowned youth ensembles.
