Northgate Markets is a celebration of Mexican culture and flavor. The Hispanic-owned family business, founded by Ricardo Gonzalez, has grown to more than 40 locations across Southern California. The Costa Mesa Mercado Gonzalez location takes things to the next level with its first-ever mercado-style food hall featuring 20+ vendors inspired by regions across Mexico.

Inside you’ll spot colorful murals by Los Angeles artist Levi Ponce, whose work is all about bringing people and communities together. Inspired by lessons from his father and his background in fine art, Ponce creates pieces that turn everyday walls into storytelling moments.
Artesania Mexicana
Mercado Gozalez sells a variety of Mexican artisanal goods including hand-painted pottery, intricate beaded folk-art sculptures, candles, soaps and colorful souvenirs.
Claudio Limon
The red mural outside Mercado González was created by Mexican artist Claudio Limón, whose playful style sets the tone before you even walk inside. Born in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico, Limón has been painting since age 10 and has brought his artwork everywhere from Guadalajara to Tokyo and Buenos Aires.
