Samueli Theater
Samueli Theater makes an entrance all its own. Large frosted glass panels glow softly against the theater’s white limestone facade, welcoming guests from Arts Plaza or Anton Boulevard. Outside, pristine lawns, elegant architecture, and Aiko Miyawaki’s sculpture Utsurohi 91—Costa Mesa sets the stage for an unforgettable experience before the curtain even rises.
Inside, the 500-seat theater transforms to fit the mood—from traditional theater-style seating to intimate cabaret arrangements with cocktail tables, or even open space for indie-band concerts. Most of Segerstrom Center for the Arts Jazz Club, Concert Series, and Cabaret Series artists perform here, giving the room a casual, nightclub feel when the music calls for it.
Opened in 2006, Samueli Theater is designed for versatility, whether it’s a performance, banquet, or special event. Named in honor of a $10 million gift from the Henry Samueli family, the theater carries a legacy of philanthropy and creativity that enriches every show and event.
