The quiet, scenic Costa Mesa Country Club features a golf course with driving range, private teaching area, sand bunker, and chipping and pitching greens. It contains two municipal golf courses and a clubhouse that can be rented out for weddings and special events. The 18-hole Mesa Linda municipal golf course features 5,486 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70 and a course rating of 66.0. The 18-hole Los Lagos municipal golf course features 6,547 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 and a course rating of 70.7. Both courses were designed by William F. Bell, ASGCA, and Ronald Fream, and they were opened in 1967. Every year one of the premier amateur events in California, the Costa Mesa City Championship, is hosted by the Costa Mesa Country Club. Many professional golfers can be found practicing for upcoming professional golf tours on the lush, well-maintained greens.
Situated on the upper level of the historic brick clubhouse, the Mesa Linda and Los Lagos banquet rooms overlook the greens. The Mesa Linda banquet room seats 185 guests and the Los Lagos room seats 350 guests. Each banquet room features floor-to-ceiling windows, a dance floor, a built-in bar and a terrace that overlooks the nearby lake. Drinks and meals are also served in the club’s “19th Hole,” which has three large screen televisions and an outdoor patio. The Costa Mesa Country Club has a 30-tee driving range and a Pro Shop.
