Laguna Art Museum
The Laguna Art Museum is home to California art. Right off of Pacific Coast Highway, the Orange County art space honors the life and history of the state. Visitors will be able to see the Golden state through the lens of California artists. From contemporary art and beyond, the museum gallery is home to collections of art spreading across time and varying in style as it is the oldest cultural institution in the area.
Orange County Museum of Art
The Orange County Museum of Art is the premier visual arts organization in Orange County. With a focus on modern and contemporary art, it hosts more than 3000 works of art in a variety of art forms like paintings, drawings, photography, digital work, video, installations and more from the twentieth and twenty-first century. Having both national and international artwork in its collection, it strives to link the historical and the contemporary; bridge local and global art and culture; and enlighten, inspire, and engage visitors.
Huntington Beach Art Center
The Huntington Beach Art Center is a creative space dedicated to showcasing art, history, culture and contemporary experiences. The center curates creative works from more than 300 artists, celebrating a range of artistic mediums such as painting, photography, wood carvings and more.
Mission San Juan Capistrano
Mission San Juan Capistrano showcases historic and religious artifacts and is proud to offer an interpretive room dedicated to Native American art. The Mission’s permanent museum collection includes paintings ranging in date from the 18th to the 20th centuries. The paintings narrate the history of California and its mission system. Other exhibits include: The Legacy of Saint Serra; Mission Treasures: Historical Collection Revealed; Native American Interpretive Room; Plein Air Reproductions Exhibit and the Spanish Colonial Art room featuring precious and rare paintings, religious artifacts, and documents related to the Mission’s history, dating back as early as the 1700s.
Isamu Noguchi’s California Scenario
A true hidden gem in Orange County, Isamu Noguchi’s California Scenario is an outstanding sculpture garden paying homage to the diverse landscape of California. Constructed on 1.6 acres of space, the artistic work uses indigenous plants and materials to create a modern zen garden with a unique mixture of art and nature in Costa Mesa.
Palm Court Arts Complex
Located within the Orange County Great Park, the Palm Court Arts Complex is home to the Great Park Gallery and the Great Park Artist Studios. Each section of the complex highlights both community art and historic art featuring a variety of work. The art space also features Hangar 244, a 10,000 square foot event center and the Great Park’s first site-specific permanent public art installation honoring the location’s history.
