The owners of local favorite Old Vine Café, which opened in 2008, brothers Brandon and Mark McDonald continue to redefine the Orange County food scene. The cozy, casual bistro offers top-quality products in innovative, exciting preparations.  Old Vine Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menu items promoting regionalism and the use of seasonal ingredients, a hallmark of Chef Mark’s culinary training at the Italian Culinary Institute in Calabria, Italy.

Old Vine Café offers a full breakfast menu, including staples like fresh crepes, homemade granola, and such innovative treats as caramel apple French toast and a chili verde quiche. Guests can choose from a selection of homemade marmalades and nut butters to complement their breakfast bread selection. 

The lunch offerings include homemade soups, creative salads, grilled-to-order panino and a selection of smaller plates and antipasto. The dinner menu includes unique salads and nightly specials including handmade pasta. In addition, three tasting menus offer four courses, each paired with wine that complements that course's unique flavors. Both domestic and international culinary experiences during Chef Mark’s travels drive the creativity behind the often-changing, four-course tasting dinner menus. The restaurant has a retail shop offering artisanal cheeses, handcrafted meats and over 150 wines from regions all over the world, including a "6 for $60" offering in the store and also available online.

Chef Mark also leads the annual "Splendors of South Italy" tour, a culinary-centric trip through Calabria and Sicily that treats travelers to hands-on cooking lessons from master chefs, decadent meals featuring regional cuisine and winery and agritourism excursions.  Deeply involved in the community, Chef Mark teaches cooking classes to both young “aspiring chefs” at local elementary schools and adult students pursing professional culinary experiences.

Old Vine Café is located at The CAMP.  Breakfast is served until 3:00 PM, every day of the week, and lunch is served everyday from 11:00 AM to 3 PM.  Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5 PM. Old Vine Café is closed for dinner on Sunday and Monday evenings.
