The Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall features a magnificent façade of Portuguese limestone and graceful glass wall. Through the glass, visitors and patrons can see the dramatic multi-tiered foyer and circular staircase. Once inside, guests can look out and across the Center’s 46,000 square-foot community plaza to the original Segerstrom Hall with its signature sculpture, "Fire Bird," by noted artist Richard Lippold and the imposing steel sculpture "Connector", created by Richard Serra. Soaring above the Spanish granite lobby floor is the ceiling finished in silver leaf and a breathtaking lighting installation titled “Constellation.”
This award-winning piece of architectural jewelry includes faceted Swarovski crystal LED globes and 300 silver lavalieres suspended in graduated lengths that are tipped in illuminated, Baccarat crystal pendants. Internationally acclaimed architect Cesar Pelli designed the structure with impeccable acoustics by Artec Consultants. In addition to the Center's own presentations and guest artists, the hall is home to resident companies Pacific Symphony, the Philharmonic Society of Orange County and Pacific Chorale.
Leatherby’s Café Rouge, on the lobby level of the Concert Hall, is an elegant bistro from Joachim Splichal’s Patina Group. The upscale restaurant serves dinner only, a variety of fish and meat dishes prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients, with special pre-theater menus.
