Memphis Cafe is a Costa Mesa gem, located in the heart of SOBECA district. Soon after opening in 1995, the cafe earned a five-star review from the Los Angeles Times. Since then, it has continuously earned acclaim and a loyal following. Co-founder and chef Diego Velasco, classically trained in the culinary arts, has created a distinctive gourmet interpretation of Southern home-style cooking with signature dishes like smoky gumbo and pulled pork, buttermilk fried chicken and savory seafood jambalaya, among others, all of which are made from locally sourced and naturally raised meats and poultry.
