Blues Traveler and Gin Blossoms at Pacific Amphitheatre

Blues Traveler could be considered a key part of the re-emerging jam band scene of the 1990s, spearheading the H.O.R.D.E. touring music festival. They released their self-titled debut album in 1990, with the song “But Anyway” getting airplay on college radio stations. The band's 1994 album, titled four, featured the upbeat pop single “Run-Around,” the group's first chart hit,  followed by “Hook.” “Run-Around” won a Grammy Award and broke a record at the time for most weeks on the chart. Blues Traveler's latest album, Traveler's Blues, was released in July 2021, and was nominated by The Recording Academy for Best Traditional Blues album at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
 
Gin Blossoms indelible jangle-pop sound was evolving during radio’s diverse mix of hair bands and grunge music superstars. Their breakout record New Miserable Experience (1992) kept the band on the chart for almost three years with singles “Hey Jealousy,” “Until I Fall Away,” and “Found Out About You.” Those hits were followed up by “Til I Hear It From You” which rocketed to #1 and moved the Empire Records soundtrack to platinum status. Their next gem “Follow You Down” spent ten weeks in the top 10, and "As Long As It Matters" earned the band a Grammy nomination for "Best Performance by a Duo or Group” making Congratulations I’m Sorry (1996) another multi-platinum success. 
 
Spin Doctors are best known for their early 1990s hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can't Be Wrong” from their star-making 1991 record Pocket Full of Kryptonite. Their first album in 12 years is at once a bold leap for a legendary band and the sound of a group truly revitalized.
