The largest performing arts organization in the southwest United States, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra offers a wide range of programming, from distinctive classical concerts to inventive pops and innovative multimedia events, all designed to inspire and engage the broadest possible audience. Throughout its history, the DSO has been led by renowned conductors, including Antal Doráti (1945-48), Walter Hendl (1949-58), Sir Georg Solti (1961-62), Anshel Brusilow (1970-73), Max Rudolf (1973-74), Eduardo Mata (1977-93), Andrew Litton (1994-2006), Jaap van Zweden (2008-18), and currently Fabio Luisi, who began his tenure in September 2020.

Grammy Award-winning conductor Fabio Luisi began his tenure as Music Director of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) at the start of the 2020-21 season. In January 2021, Luisi’s contract was extended through the 2028-29 season. A maestro of major international standing, the Italian conductor is also in his seventh season as Principal Conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and assumed the role of Principal Conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo in September 2022. Previously, Luisi served for six seasons as Principal Conductor of the Metropolitan Opera and nine seasons as General Music Director of the Zurich Opera.

Hélène Grimaud has been an exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist since 2002. Her recordings recordings have garnered widespread critical acclaim and numerous prestigious awards, including the Cannes Classical Recording of the Year, Choc du Monde de la musique, Diapason d’or, Grand Prix du disque, Record Academy Prize (Tokyo), Midem Classic Award, and the Echo Klassik Award. A deeply passionate interpreter of Schumann’s music, Grimaud’s album For Clara explores her long relationship with the German Romantics, highlighting the close ties between Robert Schumann, his protégé Brahms, and the remarkable pianist-composer Clara Schumann.
