Widely celebrated in his home country and Latin America as "Poeta del Amor" ("Poet of Love"), Mexican singer and songwriter Pancho Barraza is a best-selling composer and interpreter of bandas, rancheras, and romanticos, all of which he juxtaposes with pop. He released his solo debut, Mis Canciones de Amor, in 1995. He has continued to release a string of hit releases including 2018’s Un Sueno. "La Fuerza del Amor" saw release in early 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the globe. Unable to tour, Barraza became a prolific singles artist. After issuing the funky cumbia "Pero la Recuerdo" with Super Lamas, he released "No la Valore" with Grupo Mando Real and the charting single and video for "Polvo y Nada" with Grupo Codiciado. Between 2020 and 2022, Barraza released no less than 40 singles, with many topping the music charts.
Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán is a Mariachi group that was founded in Tecalitlán, Jalisco, Mexico by Gaspar Vargas in 1898. In 1928, his son, Silvestre Vargas, took over control of the group. Over time, the group has recorded albums, starred in over 200 movies, and performed all over the world. They have collaborated with many artists, among them Linda Ronstadt. The group is based in Mexico City. They are known as "El Mejor Mariachi Del Mundo" or in English, "The Best Mariachi in the World."
