The Future of Dance at Samueli Theater
The Future of Dance: ABT Gillespie Performance Ensembles
Experience an evening of breathtaking artistry and technical brilliance as the ABT William J. Gillespie School proudly presents its latest creation. This performance features the students of our Performance Ensemble groups and Pre-professional level, highlighting the culmination of months of rigorous training, dedication, and artistic discovery.
A Platform for Excellence
The ABT Gillespie Performance Ensembles are more than just classes; they are a vital bridge between the studio and the professional stage. Designed specifically to enhance student confidence and cultivate the nuanced skills required for a high-level dance career, these ensembles offer a unique look at the next generation of young dancers.
A hallmark of this production is the debut of original choreography created exclusively for our students. We are proud to specify that all original works presented this evening are the collective choreography of the ABT Gillespie School faculty: Susan Brooker, Lorin Johnson, Sarah Jones, and Vladimir Kolesnikov. Their bespoke choreography is tailored to the unique strengths of our dancers across four distinct levels.
